Site grading continues
May 7th
Fill, compact & grade where pieces of runway were removed, site grading.
May 6th
Paving runways, taxiway, and pilots boxes. Demolition and removal of old paving, contour grading.
May 5th
Start of paving asphalt runway, contour grading continues.
May 4th
Continuing leveling, compaction & compaction testing. Thanks to Rowell Heigh & Diepenbroek for help with identifying defects today in 40 mph+ winds.
May 1st
Final runway grading, placement and compaction of road base, prep for paving to start
April 30th
Excavating and hauling off asphalt from the old sections of the removed runway. Starting final grade in preparation for road base.
April 29th
Excavation and grading in progress. Saw cutting of asphalt to be removed is done.
