Club events include organized fun-flys, Warbirds Over Denver, awards banquet, the regional Annual RC Auction and various other activities. If you don’t want to fly at club events, be a valued volunteer – or be both! We encourage club members to volunteer and help the club in a variety of ways such as event assistance.

Field Clean Up’s
Several times throughout the spring to fall flying season, field clean up’s are held for a few hours on a Saturday morning to help maintain our facility and field. Tasks include trash collection, mowing, weeding, painting and repairing. Help maintain our facility and field. Tasks include trash collection, mowing, weeding, painting and repairing. The more who volunteer to help, the faster the tasks are accomplished.
Warbirds Over Denver
This annual RC flying event celebrates and honors those who fought in the skies from the US and around the world. The event is a “fun fly” of radio-controlled military aircraft reproductions from World War I to the present. Aircraft include World War I bi-planes, World War II fighters and bombers, and 200 mph turbine-powered jet models from Desert Storm. Club members and other Warbird enthusiasts will participate and fly at the event. For more information, visit www.warbirdsoverdenver.com
Held annually each late January/early February, sellers clean out their hobby rooms to make extra spending money. Buyers find the dealers and sneak their new ‘finds’ into their hobby rooms. You can be both a seller and a buyer! Club members rally to make this one of the best events in town.
Old Farts Fun Fly
Held during the week a few times a year, many of the retired club members – “old farts” as we refer to them as, compete in simple RC games for “Old Fart” types of awards and prizes. Always worth some fun and laughs.
Held in the fall each year, members and guests enjoy an evening of food, drink and fun. Recognition is given to those who donate their time and talents to the club.
